Wonderful Lens, Terrible Marketing
I was trying to find more info about the new Zeiss 25mm f2 after reading Lloyd Chambers's review and stumbled on the press release. Sigh, so German, it is full of design diagrams and performance data, but not one single shot from the lens that's impressive. The photos look like test shots, as if saying "we only know how to make lenses, we don't know how to take photos". (Had I not owned Zeiss lenses myself, I would not even look at it.) Are they so out of marketing budget that they can't even hire a professional photographer to shoot some promotion? Sigh, their marketing is definitely in stone age.
