When I saw of the preview of Panasonic GX1, I knew this would be the mirrorless camera I would get. Panasonic had been one of the first to try mirrorless and their GF cameras (predecessors of this one) had been the "fun" camera for many PROs (the master photographer David Muench carries one). The 4/3 sensor is larger than Nikon's J1/V1. The price is lower. The 20 frames/sec is impressive. I has a Panasonic LX5 and find the build quality (made in Japan) better than my D5100 (built in Thailand). (I plan to give the LX5 to my Dad to replace his old 4MP Olympus.) With the GX1, I can sell my D5100 and patiently wait for the D800 (which, due to the flood in Thailand will be delayed even more).
