History Class at San Jose Egyptian Museum

Model of the Temple of Ramesses II at Abu Simbel.
A replica of Queen Nefertiti, still amazing after thousands of years.
My cat Miti would be quite at home in ancient Egypt.
A mummy, I couldn't resist taking a photo.
A replica of the Law Code of Hammurabi. I read about it in my high school history class. I didn't realize it was carved in stone.
Details of the Hammurabi Code. I had a strong urge to touch it, to feel history in my hands.
Cuneiform tablets, the earliest known human writings.
An Assyrian king. Wait, is he wearing an Apple watch?
I can never get tired of seeing the cat artifacts of the museum.

Fascinating BBC mini-series, dramatizing the discovery of Tutankhamun's tomb. After watching it, I decide to visit the Egyptian museum again.

Still Looking (Fun in the Cantor Museum)

"King Solomon Receiving Queen Sheba." The building in the painting looks very much like Cantor museum itself.
