Evening at the Gates of Hell
Looking at Rodin's work from this angle, I finally have a feel for it. You know paradise has lost. |
The famous "thinker", sitting on top of the gates, indifferent to the despairs around him. |
Stanford's Rodin sculpture garden. |
Black and white photo really shows off textures of a sculpture . |
Rodin designed this work based on Dante's Inferno. This depicts the sad fate of Ugolino and his two sons. |
For about 10 minutes, the warm display light mixed with the cold ambient light, created a beautiful gold/blue color palette. |
Retake a shot with D810. Unlike Fuji X-T1, no photoshop adjustment is needed to bring out the details. |
Adam |
Eve. The sculpture reminds me Masaccio's fresco, the Expulsion from the Garden of Eden (below). |
