Trees

The leaves of the trees look like ink splashed on the wall.

Sunday Afternoon at Stanford's Cantor Museum

My favorite painting in the Anderson Collection, Mark Tansey's "Yosemite Fall".

Evening at the Gates of Hell

Looking at Rodin's work from this angle, I finally have a feel for it. You know paradise has lost.
The famous "thinker", sitting on top of the gates, indifferent to the despairs around him.
Stanford's Rodin sculpture garden.
Black and white photo really shows off textures of a sculpture .
Rodin designed this work based on Dante's Inferno. This depicts the sad fate of Ugolino and his two sons.
For about 10 minutes, the warm display light mixed with the cold ambient light, created a beautiful gold/blue color palette.
Retake a shot with D810. Unlike Fuji X-T1, no photoshop adjustment is needed to bring out the details.
Adam
Eve. The sculpture reminds me Masaccio's fresco, the Expulsion from the Garden of Eden (below).
