Low tide plus clouded day at Point Lobos. Even Western Beach looked empty and deserted. After a hard working week I was yearning for a sunny day. But the weather was uninspiring. Or is it just me?

Point Lobos

A pretty cloudy day. The weather was so depressing I almost decided to head home immediately. Fortunately my rational mind got a better hold of me (I told myself I hadn't been doing any serious shooting for almost a month, and who knows when I will have time again). I calmed down, decided making best use of the cloudy day to do some scouting, and found this interesting area which I had totally missed in my previous visits.

Zeiss 50mm Makro-Planar Ordered

It seemed whenever my work got so busy that I couldn't go out taking photos, I bought some camera equipments instead (as if shopping can replacing the experiencing of out shooting, no, it cannot). My D3x came out of a really stressful year. Today I just ordered the Zeiss 50mm Makro-Planar. Now the next item on the shopping list will be either the new Zeiss 25mm or the Nikon 24mm 1.4G. I tried not to think if I would have time to take photos in the near future...
